Hello again;
One of the best things about having your own show is having a way to hang out with some of your favorite people and have a real conversation.
You know those people you have followed from afar through watching or listening to their show and reading their posts.
Last week I got to visit with my new friend the blind film maker Michael Schwartz. Click here if you missed it.
And this week I got the opportunity to talk with one of my online heroes Ryan Biddulph who is known as The Blogger from Paradise.
Some of you know about my frustration with not getting out and meeting more people face to face. I’ve been planning on attending the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions ever since starting my amusement equipment brokering business the midway marketplace ten years ago.
So, to hear about a guy who is traveling the world and supporting himself from blogging is obviously someone I would connect with.
And during a recent struggle with my writing I reached out to him.
I was having trouble deciding whether or not to write about my New York Experience in my next book. I wasn’t sure the story would be big enough for its own book.
Ryan gave me some great advice which you will hear me and him talk about during this episode.
You didn’t think I was going to give it all away did you?
We talk about so much more including not letting perfectionism keep you from your goals, strategies for working while traveling, building online relationships, power of blog commenting.
I also got him to talk about the hard times and struggles in his life before he became the wildly successful blogger and author.
Ryan was friendly, funny, and most importantly authentic. And after talking with him I was much more confident about my own upcoming trip to New York City.

Sharing Is Caring
I hope you will share Ryan’s interview with your friends, family, coworkers, and social media networks. I hope you will also visit his site and follow him on social media.
I am blessed that Ryan and people like him are agreeing to come on my show. The best way I can thank them is by sending people to their work. And I need your help with that.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts about the show, my guests, and my interview style. Like with everything else I do, I want to get better at it every time I do a new interview. And I know your critiques will be friendly and supportive.
I’m always here for you. If you have questions, just ask.
Until next time thanks and take care out there,
Max
So awesome, Max. I’m so happy that you have a show! Great episode! Keep shining your light. 💜💜💜
Hi Amy; Thanks for your wonderful comment and your generous spirit. I am enjoying doing the show. Its taking more time than I thought, but its time I am enjoying. Its different being the one asking the questions and leading the conversation, but it still has an energy to it that improves my day. Thanks again. You rock, Max

Hi Max,
I have known of Ryan for a while too and so nice the two of you got to talk in this way. A really enjoyable interview.
I like some of the points made throughout.
You and I, I’ve been recently thinking, we have very little in common, other than both being blind. You are The Blind Blogger and I chose not to become The Blind Writer, and that’s okay. Whatever works for us both is what should be.
Hopefully, we are both doing what we are passionate about and meant to do.
Also, I understand how it must have been for you to have Ryan agree to an interview. I just published an interview on my blog with an editor and writer I greatly admire, whom has meant a lot to me, but whom is so well known and talented I thought she might not have the time to speak to me. The reason I knew this wasn’t true, how I got over my nervousness at the thought of asking for an interview, was that we’ve been growing and developing our online relationship for two years now. It was still a giant thrill for me and that she returned the respect, right back toward me, by sharing our interview and my blog on her social media, suggesting to her followers that they check out HerHeadache. I still can’t believe that happened.
And so what Ryan was saying is true. The definition of paradise is not always going to be the same for everyone, but to follow passion and that’s why my brother and I are doing our podcast, branching out from the writing I usually do, which I am still working on every day, to become as good as I possibly can be.
I am really looking forward to hearing how your trip goes. Won’t be long.
Looking forward also to hearing who your next guest will be for What’s Your Excuse.
Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Kerry; Yes, we all have to decide what success and paradise look like to us. Even more important we have to know what it feels like. I understand your decision as well. And even when you have known someone online for a while there is still the little thought in the back of your mind that they will say no. When that happens, I remind myself of what my dad said if you don’t ask they can’t say yes. 🙂 Yes, the trip will be coming far too soon. I still have family wanting someone to go with me. I even have a few of my blind friends encouraging me to find someone to go with. A couple have even told me I am crazy. I just say heck I was crazy to apply. I feel like God wouldn’t have given me the prize or the courage to decide on New Your City if he wasn’t going to provide me with a way to make this an awesome experience. Wishing you an amazing time in Mexico as well. Blessings and cheers to us, Max
