Live on the inside with Alex Okoroji’s the naked talk the anniversary show

Hello again;

To me every opportunity to share my story is special, but the event that took place last friday is just a little bit more special. I try to always tell the truth and to say otherwise would be a lye.

You see, I was asked to be one of the guests on Alex Okoroji’s anniversary show. She is the host of The Naked Talk

It is a live, unscripted, unrehearsed, unedited, conversation where guests are encouraged to share their authentic story and inspire the listening audience.

Alex decided she would celebrate her first anniversary by inviting back some of her favorite guests to be part of a live online party. I was excited to hear that I was one of the ones she wanted on the show. Its the desire of anyone who does radio or tv to be asked back, so you can bet I said yes.

I had never done a call with so many people on it at one time before. I was a bit nervous. It was a good thing that I had just done the blab interview with Michael Babcock where the conversation included four people at a time.

I also still have a little trouble realizing just how popular I have become online. I don’t always realize just how impressive my story is or how respective I have become online. Here again I can thank my friends. When I posted about being part of Fabrizio’s post about promoting blog posts they all reminded me that I definitely belonged in the group of top bloggers. I have even come around to thinking not of what bloggers I was mentioned with but which bloggers were mentioned with me.

Making The Big Shift

That may seem like a small shift, but trust me its taken a long time to get to. I’ve gone from me inspirational no way to okay my story is inspiring to those who make excuses to I am a top respected blogger who inspires and motivates a worldwide audience to dream bigger and do more. I take away their excuses and this is no small feat.

So with all this preparation I was ready for the call. It was a wild crazy talk. There were sixteen of us plus Alex. There were audience members and celebrities calling in to congratulate Alex. And most importantly we all shared some great advice about growth, setting goals, determining success, savoring small victories, and taking action.

I’m going to share her blog post about the show first. This is because it has comments about each guest, a link to their website or blog, and a link to their original show appearance. I love what she wrote about me, and I want you to get to know all the other amazing people that joined us on the call.

I told Alex after the show that this experience made me realize that I am better with small groups or in one on one situations. And Alex said yes she thought that was the case and one of her reasons for inviting me was to give me yet another opportunity to get outside my comfort zone.

I appreciate her doing this. It takes a good friend to not only know what we need but then to give it to us. And if I’m going to be a famous coach, author, and speaker; then I’m going to have to do lots of events like this.

I would do it again and look forward to her second anniversary show. πŸ˜‰ I’m also happy to report that she has invited me to come back on when my second book is finished. I love alex and consider her a great friend; I now have even more motivation to finish writing and send it off to my editor. Yes Lorraine, I know that’s what you’ve been saying too. I’m getting there. πŸ™‚

Sharing Is Caring

I do hope you will check out all the other amazing people mentioned in the blog post above. If it weren’t for people like Alex who have invited me on to their shows and given me a place to share my story; I don’t believe I would have been able to make anywhere near the progress I have in such a short time.

Please share the anniversary show, the blog post, my original interview, her other interviews, etc. As much or as little as you have time for, it will all be appreciated. Like I always say the best way to get more opportunities is to prove you can put buts in the seats or faces behind the screens. So please help me pack the audience in.

As always if you have a question, Just Ask

Whether you just want to get to know me a little more or have a question about any aspect of my businesses or life; I’m here for you. I love meeting new people and making new friends, so don’t be shy.

Until next time thanks so much and take care out there, Max

  1. Dear Maxwell, First of all…This is a beautiful post and I’m jealous that you did a much better job than me, at articulating Fridays past event. Dang Man!

I am so in awe of the things that you have accomplished and continue to accomplish my dear friend. And I was very honoured to have you join us live on the show. You are a big winner. Just to be able to hold your own and share great insights with so many other people you were meeting their voices, for the first time…does in fact prove my theory about you being one of the most courageous and driven thought leaders I know.

And I hope more people realise the immense value, you will add to their lives by having you as their coach. I definitely would want a fearless respectable man like you, leading me out of the darkness into the light. I can’t wait for your second book to be ready Max. Thank you so much for sharing my blog post with your audience. It must have taken quite a bit of effort, but I am very proud of you. Keep Winning Max. Love. Alex.

    • Hi Alex; thanks so much for this amazing comment. Its also cool that you were the first to post a reply. Not a lot of hosts would go that far. And that’s not counting the fact that you have been a loyal subscriber to my email list. I did have a little trouble keeping all the voices straight, and next time we do this we need to get some better phone equipment. πŸ™‚ seemed like we spent a lot of time just figuring out who was on who was off and if they could hear us or not. It was like one of those old cell phone commercials at some points. You know the one where people would ask can you hear me now? haha I think its funny. There are many things that I am not afraid of. Meeting new people, making new friends, sharing my story, etc are some of those. Some of the things that do scare me are high places, roller coasters, snakes, and flying insects. πŸ™‚ I’ve also been told that I plan to much and act too little. I think this applies to more of those small risks. I could be better at making quick decisions or doing spontaneous things. I know everyone has strengths and weaknesses, and one of the best things about both of us is our continued desire to confront our fears and challenge ourselves. For example when I tell people what kind of woman I’m seeking I always mention she has to be someone who can talk me into taking those small risks like riding roller coasters or kissing in the rain. I’m glad you liked my post about the show. I just tried to draw on the energy created by our amazing group. Glad I did it justice. Well thanks again. You are an awesome friend. Looking forward to finishing the book so I can schedule that return visit. xoxo max

  2. Hahaha @ Old phone commercial. Believe me,Maxwell, what we attempted the other day was a technological suicide. I doubt it’s ever really been done on radio especially live. So even though the guests initially had their numbers saved to the switch boards. They kept dropping off and calling back with unregistered numbers, so much so it became difficult to tell who was who anymore. And unfortunately I had no control of everyone else’s surrounding. So different people had stuff happening in their backgrounds, music playing or weird off show comments, which was crazy. But I’m glad we still sort of pulled it off. In the end, being naked isn’t about being perfect. It’s about presenting yourself the way you really are, so you can find the flaws and improve. Our second year will definitely be better. Thanks once again for accepting my invitation. Keep winning. Alex.
