Today, I can shout the happy news that I am back on the air.
With the help of Frederic Bye of The Creative Magic Network,
I have found another person who I respect and trust enough to have as my on air partner and co-host.
He will handle the technical aspects of running the show while we are on air. He will maintain the website, create the graphics, and keep it all working.
This will leave me free to focus on the guest and the task of having an amazing conversation.
What Is The Show Called?
I didn’t want to call it the No Excuses show because that is what I call my own podcast when I do manage to post to it.
However, I couldn’t find anything that really jumped up and bit me. None of our options gave me chills.
So, I settled on The What’s Your Excuse Show.
When Will It Be On?
It will be a weekly presentation that is posted live every Thursday.
The shows won’t be live, but they will be recorded live. There won’t be much editing as me and Frederic agree that this show can only work if it feels real to the listeners.
And besides I’ve often written about not hiding your mistakes and the value of a happy accident.
What Will The Show Be About?
What’s your Excuse with me Max Ivey – Known Around the World as The Blind Blogger – is about how do people become who they are.
I want to know how did adversity change and in many cases improve them? What were the key events in their journey, and what were the steps along the way?
I am a big believer in the importance of the small steps over the big leaps. It is often the smallest action that will get you on the path to success.
People so often say if Max can do it then what is my excuse.
I believe a lot of our guests are going to leave people feeling the same way.
1st Episode Is Live!
I am writing this post to announce the release of our very first episode.
I was blessed to run into our first guest on twitter. A direct message lead to our becoming friends on face book. And when I realized I was going to do the show and needed a really compelling first guest; I thought Michael was like a gift from God.
About Michael Schwartz
Michael is an award winning reporter with more than twenty years experience in television news and production.
He’s the founder of Trailhead Preductions,
a video production house that focuses on serving nonprofits, NGO’s and specialists in health and wellness.
What many people do not know is that Michael is also visually impaired.
The gradual and continuing loss of his eyesight did not stop him from pursuing his career as a visual storyteller.
And his latest documentary film, called The Palette Project,
is about Michael’s travels around the world as a visually impaired filmmaker.
He is highlighting the accomplishments an achievements of visually impaired men, women and children around the world – people who are changing perceptions, raising expectations and making a difference.
Now, you can see why I had to have Michael on my first show.
And I’ll admit that I was a little nervous because here is a guy who is out there doing it. I wouldn’t be human if I didn’t wonder if hearing his story might make mine seem less impressive.
Thankfully, I’m not into comparing. I know that each of us is on our own path working at our own time with the skills we have today.
And every story is important as Michael mentioned during our empowering conversation.
I don’t want to spoil it or waste any more time, so without any more from the carnival barker in me, here is our talk. I hope you enjoy it. And at the end I want to know if you found yourself asking if Michael can do it then what is my excuse?

About Frederic Bye
With this being my first show I thought you should get to know my co-host Frederic as well.
What He Says About Himself
the tower of power, too sweet to be sour, funky like a monkey, in this place sky’s the limit, and space is the place.
Hi! I’m Frederic Byé and I am, just like you, soaring with the eagles and slithering with the snakes on my journey to freedom; professional, financial, and creative.
I share my own lessons from this crazy, but awesome ride.
I made so many mistakes in the past, and like many of you I am still learning.
I want to try and save you time, money and heartache along the way, so I share articles and audios about unleashing your creativity and being a creative entrepreneur.
And now you know why I love Frederic. I just can’t see calling him Fred. 🙂 And for those who follow wrestling those are some of the most famous catch phrases in sport entertainment. 🙂

I am really excited about this new show. I have a feeling that me, Frederic, and our guests are going to do a lot of good by sharing our experiences with the listeners.
My Promise To You
Unfortunately, this thing can’t work without your help.
I know you have lots of demands on your time and a wide variety of options for how you spend the few spare moments you do have. But we can’t help others if they never hear us.
If you will listen and encourage your friends to do the same; I will give you my word to bring you the highest qulaity show every week.
I will find the most amazing guests who will share their stories of transformation and overcoming life’s obstacles.
And I will push to get them to spend as much time talking about the struggles and how they made it through as they spend talking about how good things are today.
I hope you will help me to put buts in the seats and faces behind the screens. 😀
I know I say this often, but I wouldn’t be here without the help of a lot of great people along the way. Some performed valuable services sharing their talents. Others, encouraged me and reminded me just how special I am. And many of you sent your prayers and positive thoughts.
I hope you will continue to follow along on my journey. I never know what is going to come next, and I love it that way.
I think this is why my favorite song and unofficial theme song is the River by Garth Brooks.
God bless you all,
