Hello again;
This is another post in my Live on the Inside Series where I share my latest interview on radio shows, podcasts, and someday soon television.
This time I’m writing to share what was for me a unique experience.
First, I wasn’t the only guest on the show.
It wasn’t a panel discussion, but I was one of two guests.
There was me and my online media client Adriana Gavazzoni.
In fact I got her the booking on the show with our host Segilola Salami.
I had sent Segilola a pitch email asking about her having me on her show. She sent me a PDF explaining that on her show there would be multiple guests. She would seek to put guests on who could speak about similar topics. So, I waited to see who I would be going on with.
In the mean time I had sent her emails about my friends and clients including Adriana.
I had no idea that she would end up sharing the mike with me and Segilola.
It was a happy surprise for two reasons.
One, I was glad to hear Adriana would get to talk about writing on Segilola’s show.
Two, I enjoyed speaking with Adriana when I had her on my show and was looking forward to getting to talk to her again.
The topic of the show was how to go from a hobby author to what Segilola calls an authorpreneur. Basically we were talking about what it means to become a professional writer.
Adriana talked about character development and perseverance. I talked about promoting yourself and not being afraid to send out those emails or hire someone to do it for you.
It was a little slow getting started. In deference to Adriana I kept my story short and tried to give her the stage. But about fifteen minutes in we all got comfortable with each other and had some great exchanges. We laughed a lot. And I felt like it turned out very well.
It was good practice as I fully expect to be appearing at writing and book conferences in the future. Many of them like to set up panel discussions or question and answer programs involving multiple authors.
I think you will get a lot out of this show even if you aren’t an author. I was my usual uplifting motivational self. And Adriana has a delightful personality and world wisdom that comes through even though English isn’t her first language. I hope you will give it a listen.

About Segilola

With interest mounting from Nollywood investors, all talks are still open and enquiries still welcome for those wishing to turn the book into a 3D animation.
Even in these heady times of increasing success Segilola stays true to both her roots and passion of writing. She is available to hold book reading events and give creative writing workshops to those budding writers that wish to follow in her footsteps. Similarly she is now available to take speaking engagements and write custom pieces for enquiring publications.
Since releasing her first book Yetunde: The Life and Times of a Yoruba Girl in London in 2015, Segilola Salami now has a number of other books under her belt and is the host of her own podcast show called The Segilola Salami Show. The show is a round table discussion where she has a number of other self published authors discuss the business of self publishing and review a self published book. About Adriana
A Gavazzoni is a Brazilian lawyer, former legal professor, author of a
textbook on international contract law as well as the author of the hot
Series Hidden Motives a series of psychological and erotic thrillers.
She speaks four languages: English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, she also
studies Chinese and hopes someday she will master it Her favorite
countries, no surprise, are Italy, France, and the USA.
When not practicing law
She loves to dance (Tango) and workout.

In addition to this being an unusual show for me, this is also a difficult post for me.
I appreciate both of these woman for different reasons, and I don’t want either to feel slighted. I’ve tried to include similar amounts and types of information about both of these amazing people I’m sharing the screen and microphone with.
Adriana is not only a friend and valued client. She is an incredible woman with a real zest for life who does so much to show us all how we should be spending the short amount of time we have here.
And Segilola gives authors like me and Adriana a platform to share our stories and promote our books. She also does so much to help budding authors get their books into print so to speak.
I hope I didn’t overwhelm or confuse anyone with the information and links included. I only wanted to show my appreciation for having this wonderful opportunity.
