Info Graphic Eight Fun Eye Facts and Top Tips for Healthy Eyes

Hello again;

Sometimes in life you get things you didn’t ask for or didn’t know you were asking for; but they turn out to be amazing.

I don’t have a page on my site for guest posts. I don’t openly recruit people to write for either of my sites.

But a few weeks back I was approached by a representative from Fight For Sight UK.

They asked me if I would post an info-graphic and short article about preventing vision loss.

After my recent post What do an amusement park train and my possibly seeing again have in common?

How could I not?

I should mention that my first DNA test was negative for the cause of my RP, retinitis pigmentosa.

As the remaining two tests are much more expensive and not covered by insurance; my eye doctor advised me to do them one at a time. I will update this process in another post.

This organization may be from the U K, but their research could lead to treatments applied all over the world. So, I whole heartedly agreed to share this.

This post was created by Jennie Evans.

To mark the return of our fundraiser Feast your Eyes we’ve created an info-graphic which reveals the wonders of your eyes, eight fun eye facts and top tips for healthy eyes.

Every day 100 people in the UK start to lose their sight and two million people in the UK live with sight loss. We believe sight loss is not inevitable. It is only through medical research we will make sight loss a thing of the past.

During October we are asking the nation to sign up to Feast your Eyes.

Host your own blindfolded food event to fund pioneering eye research in the fight against sight loss.

Be it a blindfolded breakfast, lights-out lunch, pitch black picnic, challenging cheese and wine or dinner in the dark. Sign up today for your free fundraising pack, complete with blindfolds.

Like I said in the beginning I didn’t know I wanted guest posts. But I had been feeling a bit overwhelmed lately. I was projecting in my mind that I needed some talented people to share information that would help others.

And when you ask for what you need, you usually get it. 🙂

I think these fund raising ideas sound like great fun. I say this because we all need to have more fun. We need to incorporate entertainment and socializing into our daily work activities wherever possible.

If you aren’t in the U K, perhaps you could borrow some of these ideas to raise money for your favorite local charity that supports the visually impaired.

I am a peer advisor for The AFB, American Foundation for the Blind;

so I hope others in the U S will support their fine work.

Here is a little bit about them.

The American Foundation for the Blind removes barriers, creates solutions, and expands possibilities so people with vision loss can achieve their full potential.

Well, I really appreciate Jennie sharing this information with us. Its a valuable reminder about the importance to protect your vision. And I hope lots of you will share this post.

In addition to being my first guest post on the site, its also the first time I’ve had an info graphic on here.

I do hope you will share this with your friends, family, coworkers, and social media networks. And this is especially true for those of you who know the value of publishing a guest post on an established site or who have a friend or family member that could use the exposure.

Thanks for your continued love and support. I couldn’t do it without you my friends.

Until next time God bless you and take care out there;

Max

  1. Hi Maxwell,

    Indeed a great infographics. Actually I am totally aware of my eyes health & being a blogger I put a lot pressure, so thought of using radiation protected glasses, but never ordered, I am to lazy to do that.

    Although I am totally aware of all the facts and know need to save my eyes. Hope I would do in upcoming years.
